The person should be able to perform the following job duties and responsibilities for this job position:
\n\u2022\tPlan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of restaurants
\n\u2022\tConsult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and specialty functions
\n\u2022\tPlan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
\n\u2022\tEstimate food requirements and may estimate food and labour costs
\n\u2022\tSupervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks
\n\u2022\tArrange for equipment purchases and repairs
\n\u2022\tRecruit and hire staff
\n\u2022\tMay prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.<\/p>\n
