Pawandeep Family in Abbotsford, BC is looking to hire a full-time, permanent In-Home Child Caregiver to care for their child. The candidate should have completed higher secondary education, have at least 1 year of experience, or have completed the Live-In Caregiver Training program. Knowledge of English is a must, and knowledge of a North Indian language would be an asset.
\nThe person should be able to perform certain duties and responsibilities as part of taking care of an elder person:
\n\u2022 Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
\n\u2022 Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
\n\u2022 Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
\n\u2022 Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens
\n\u2022 Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
\n\u2022 Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
\n\u2022 Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
\n\u2022 Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
\n\u2022 Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
\n\u2022 Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
\n\u2022 Prepare and serve nutritious meals
\n\u2022 Prepare infants and children for rest periods
\n\u2022 Supervise and care for children
\n\u2022 Take children to and from school and to appointments
\n\u2022 Tend to emotional well-being of children
\n\u2022 Help children with homework<\/p>\n
We pay a competitive wage of $ 20.00 hourly and 40 hours per week.
